Champion’s operations in China earn ‘Best EHS Contractor’s Award

(Feb. 3, 2009) TIANJIN, China –Champion Technologies’ Bohai Bay operations earned the “2008 The Best EHS Contractor Contribution Award” from the Joint Operating Company (JOC) of the CFD11 Oilfield Anadarko - CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation).

Champion has held the Chemical Management Services Contract since pre-start up in 2003.

Anadarko is among the largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the world, with approximately 2.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BBOE) of proved reserves at year-end 2009 according to its Web site. The Beijing-based China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is one of the largest state-owned oil giants in China , as well as the largest offshore oil and gas producer, according to its Web site. It has a 51,000-person staff.
